Visiting the website
When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, the page requested and browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are deleted after a short time. The hosting provider is Railway Corporation, USA. The transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
No cookies, no tracking
We do not use cookies, analytics tools or advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google.
Damage report and contact form
When you report damage or send an enquiry, we process your details (name, phone, email, address of the damage location, description, photos, insurance details and your preferred appointment) in order to handle your enquiry, contact you and carry out the job (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The details are sent by email to our company mailbox. Our email service is Google Gmail (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out; it is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We only pass your details on to your insurer or to specialist firms commissioned by us where this is necessary to handle your damage or where you request it.
Storage period
We delete enquiries that do not lead to a job after one year at the latest. We keep documents relating to jobs and invoices for as long as the law requires, usually six to ten years.
Location and voice input in the form
Location: Only if you press “Use my location” in the form and allow it in your browser will your device determine your location. The coordinates are then sent to the Nominatim service of OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom), which works out the address from them; the address is only entered into the form. No location is requested without a click. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Voice input: When you press the microphone, your browser’s speech recognition (e.g. from Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari) converts your speech into text. The recording may be transmitted to your browser’s provider. We do not store any voice recordings ourselves, only the text you send. You can also simply type the text.
Language selection
On your first visit we suggest a language. To do this, your browser only reads its own language setting; no data is sent to us or to third parties. When you choose a language, this choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage) so that the website appears in your language straight away on your next visit. This is not a cookie, the choice is not transmitted to us, and you can change it at any time using the language switcher at the top of the page or delete it in your browser (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). When you send a form, we include the language of the page so that we can reply to you in your language.
If you write to us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s (Meta’s) privacy policy also applies. Alternatively, use phone, email or the form.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Simply write to us. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
